Alexandria “Alex” Gunn, M.A.Ed, LMHP-R, was born and raised in Chicago, Illinois. She obtained her Master’s in Education from Eastern University (St. Davids, PA) and her Master’s in Marriage and Family Therapy from Liberty University. Alex has 7+ years in the field of mental health while working in the school setting and then transitioning to outpatient in 2021. Alex is currently a resident working towards LMFT licensure. Alex works with various clients ranging from young children to geriatrics. Alex specializes in working with children, couples, families,and substance abuse and mental health groups to name a few. Alex uses various treatment modalities in the client’s therapeutic journey ensuring that it is client centered but also wants her clients to be challenged in their therapeutic journey. Alex believes in building rapport with clients to ensure they feel safe, understood, accepted, and supported. Outside of working, you can find Alex coaching high school boys tennis and spending time with family, especially her cats Levi and Madison.
