I am a Licensed Professional Counselor with 4+ years experience working with a variety of ages in both community and outpatient settings. I believe in meeting clients where they are, supporting their journey at their pace. A strong therapeutic relationship is an essential factor to making progress, so I encourage open and honest communication regarding treatment. I realize I can’t tell someone how to feel, such as identifying the office as a “safe place,” but I strive to create an environment that feels safe and accepting. As far as therapeutic approaches, I use traditional talk therapy techniques most often. In addition to talk therapy techniques, I embrace techniques from both narrative therapy and art therapy when appropriate. Based on my approaches, I work with pre-teens, teens, and adults (ages 10+) most often. I pull knowledge from various modalities, including but not limited to cognitive behavioral therapy, dialectical behavioral therapy, reality-based therapy, solution-focused therapy, strength-based therapy, and acceptance and commitment therapy. My specialties include helping clients better manage anxiety disorders, mood disorders, interpersonal challenges and/or attachment-related issues, self-esteem challenges, trauma-related concerns, personality disorders, and psychotic symptoms.
